On June 1, the Broward Sheriff’s Office hosted a retirement party for Suzie Q. at its Parkland district office. Suzie, a bloodhound, has worked with the law-enforcement agency to track and find missing children and adults.
The nearly 11-year-old dog will spend her golden days on 3 acres in South Florida being petted, walked and loved by her BSO K-9 handler Kevin Bolling who is also retiring. Suzie was donated to BSO by the Jimmy Ryce Center. BSO K-9 unit has 3 additional Jimmy Ryce Center bloodhounds in service.
